Torchwood star Burn Gorman has said that his involvement with the Doctor Who spinoff means that it is highly unlikely he would become the 12th Doctor.
Talking to Digital Spy, Gorman said “I’m afraid the Doctor Who door is probably closed because of me being in Torchwood. I’m really excited to see who it will be, let’s hope they go with someone different but I’m sure whoever they choose will be amazing.”
Gorman, who starred as medic Owen Harper in the highly successful Doctor Who spinoff from 2006 – 2008, is currently starring as Dr Hermann Gottlieb in new blockbuster Pacific Rim.
Whovians are still waiting for the announcement for who will be Doctor number 12, but right now the list of who it probably won’t be seems longer than who it could be.
Pacific Rim is in cinemas now, and the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special will be shown November 23 in both the UK and the US.
