You know when characters in movies or TV shows are looking at something porn-related and they do that head-tilt suggesting that what they’re seeing is twisted and most likely dirty? Well, the new Don Jon movie poster subtly tricks the viewers into doing the same, which is appropriate given the film’s take on love and sex.
The film is written and directed Joseph Gordon-Levitt who also stars as a tough and charming New Jersey guy with an addiction to porn. His girlfriend (played by Scarlett Johansson) has a similar hang-up, expect she fantasizes about Hollywood romantic comedies, and Julianne Moore’s character is the woman who teaches Jon about being grateful for what he has.
It’s a strange mix of comedy, drama, romance and social satire, and aims to explore how we lose each other by objectifying people.
Don Jon will be released on September 27
