30 years in, Transformers is still going strong, and ready to announce great new projects during the year. In fact, the family entertainment channel, Hub Network, has announced that a new animated series is in production, focusing on one particular Transformers hero, Bumblebee.

But that’s not even the best part! Not only do we get a new TV show, but an incredible all-star cast! Will Friedle (Boy Meets Girl) is reprising his role as the voice of Bumblebee, with Constance Zimmer (House of Cards), Ted McGinley (Married With Children) and lastly, Darren Criss (Glee) joining in on the fun.

This series will follow Transformers Prime, but it will be set years after Prime’s conclusion. The animation technique sounds great, too, with the official press release stating:

“Blending 3D characters with hand-painted environments, the series mixes action-packed adventure with lots of comedy, making it a rip-roaring experience for kids and families to enjoy together.”

The series intends to air in early 2015, and will be produced by Hasbro Studios with Jeff Kline (Transformers Prime, G.I. Joe Renegades) as the executive producer.

Keep an eye out for more of the Transformers’ 30th Anniversary projects, which will be released throughout the year!
