It looks like our newfound queen of chaos, Amanda Bynes, has run into some more trouble with the law!

On top of her pending DUI charge in California, the former Nickelodeon darling faced some more legal troubles yesterday when she butted heads with the NYPD. Bynes had 911 called on her by the doorman of her apartment building for allegedly smoking pot in the building’s main lobby area. By the time officers arrived, she had already returned to her own apartment, but they followed her up. When they got there, police saw a bong, which Ms. Bynes allegedly threw out the window of her apartment.
Bynes was first brought to Roosevelt Hospital in order to undergo psychiatric evaluation, but according to eonline.com she was later transferred to Manhattan Central Booking.
Bynes showed up to her court appearance this morning sporting a ratty platinum blonde wig and sweats. She was officially charged with reckless endangerment for the alleged disposal of a bong through her window , as well as tampering with evidence and marijuana possession. According to a Manhattan DA, Bynes claimed that it was a vase that she threw out the window (is that really any better, though, given most of the charges?).
Prior to releasing her Chief New York County Judge Neil Ross gave Bynes a very stern talking to. Citing her out-of-state history of run-ins with the law he said that if she’s arrested again he’ll be setting a “very, very significant bail.”
Bynes’ official court date is scheduled for July 9.
