In a announcement that took place in front of thousands of VidCon attendees/fans yesterday afternoon, YouTuber Troye Sivan broke the silence on a secret that his fans have been waiting for… he’s releasing an album!!
The EP, entitled TRXYE, will feature 4 tracks written by the South African/Australian YouTuber chosen out of a field of 40 penned tracks.
Sivan signed the record contract a year ago, on his birthday, and has had to keep it a secret ever since. But now, if the reaction of the fans in the Anaheim Arena is any indication, Sivan is going to have a hit on his hands.
Sivan started posting videos on YouTube 6 years ago on occasion, but really started posting in earnest a year ago. He has since gone on to meet popular YouTubers including Tyler Oakley, Zoella and Casper Lee among others who have helped skyrocket his fame.
You can pre-order Troye’s album over on his website – the first 2,000 copies will be autographed by Sivan.
TRXYE will be released August 15th, 2014
