Want more Turbo? You’re in luck, because there’s a whole lot more coming.
Netflix is bringing Turbo to the small screen — your computer screen, of course. And not just in the form of the feature film, but an entire series based on the movie. The series is called Turbo F.A.S.T.
This is just the first of many series collaborations between DreamWorks and Netflix. They’ve announced that they will also be producing series based on Shrek and Kung Fu Panda. This is also the first ever Netflix series for children.
Although Ryan Reynolds voiced the character Turbo in the original movie, Reid Scott from Veep will be voicing Turbo in the series. Ken Jeong will be voicing the role of Kim Ly again for the series.
This is a new idea for Netflix, not only because it’s a children’s show, but also because it won’t all be released at once. Turbo F.A.S.T. and will premiere on Christmas Eve with five episodes. After that, additional episodes will come out throughout 2014.
