Two Ben Affleck Films Delayed So He Has Time For Batman

Ben Affleck is a really busy man now that he’s playing Batman in DC’s Cinematic Universe, so Warner Bros. delayed two of the other films he’s involved with.

The casting of Ben Affleck as Batman in DC’s all-new Cinematic Universe was met with mixed reactions from fans, before the trailers gave them hope. As Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice approaches slowly but steadily, the actor behind the Dark Knight’s mask had two of his other movies delayed in order to make time for the hero’s standalone film.

Warner Bros. has been collaborating with Ben Affleck for a while now and it’s common knowledge that his schedule was extremely busy at this point. Since he has now put on the Dark Knight’s suit, the company had to do some rescheduling in order for him to have time for his DC obligations. To begin with, the Gavin O’Connor-directed The Accountant was meant to hit theaters on January 29, 2016 but instead, it will now open on October 7, 2016. In addition to that, the Ben Affleck-directed Dennis Lehane adaptation Live By Night will no longer debut on October 7, 2016 and has been moved to 2017 without a specific date picked.

If anything, we’ll definitely be seeing a whole lot of Ben Affleck in the coming years. With the actor expected to write and direct the forthcoming, solo Batman film among other things, it’s only reasonable that two of his other flicks were pushed back. After all, he will also have to take time to shoot Justice League – Part 1, which is expected to hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
