A new promo trailer for Sunday’s newest episode of Downton Abbey has been released.
The clip features Isobel Crawley (Penelope Wilton) and Lady Grantham (Maggie Smith) discussing last evening’s festivities.
Including Isobel’s reaction to seeing Lady Mary back to her old self for the first time since Matthew’s death. She admitted to feeling conflicted, because while it bothers her to see Mary almost happy when she herself continues her misery, she doesn’t want her to be alone and unhappy because she loves her.
Lady Grantham gives her some encouraging words, that is quite out of character for her. Perhaps the old crow is growing a heart, after all!
The next episode of Downton Abbey can be seen a 9 pm on ITV on Sunday, October 13.
