With J.K. Rowling becoming a screenwriter for a new movie in the Potter-verse based on her 2001 book Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Potterheads all over the multiverse thought life couldn’t get any better, but wait, there’s more!

Steve Burke, President and CEO of NBC Universal, just dropped new hints about the expansion to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, FL. appropriately called “Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley.”

The first part “Hogsmeade” opened in 2010 and completely revolutionized the park; the expansion, as Burke says, is “one of the most creative ideas I’ve ever seen in the theme park business”. Here are more details about it:

The second attraction is in the other gate and the way you get from one gate to the second gate as you take a train and the train is the Hogwarts Express. And so, the actual transition or the movement from one gate to another gate is part of the attraction which is never been done before and it’s a wonderful creative idea, that opens next spring. We think that’s going to be a very big draw. And then we’re opening Harry Potter in Hollywood in Japan.

Thinking about the fans and visitors, as always, the new Cabana Bay Beach Resort will open prior to Diagon Alley, and it is scheduled to start taking in guests in March 31, 2014. The park is slated to open sometime between March and late June.

The Harry Potter book and film saga may be over, but the magic will live on forever.
