Usher’s “I Don’t Mind” Is An Ode To A Stripper

Usher’s newest single, “I Don’t Mind,” will be featured on his tentatively named album, UR. The song paints his love for a stripper, comparing her to Bey.

Usher is preparing his forthcoming studio album, reportedly titled UR. Despite delaying its release, his era is still going strong. The next step in the promotional campaign finds the R&B superstar unleashing yet another new tune, and this time it’s the Juicy J-assisted “I Don’t Mind”.

The Dr. Luke-produced track surfaced online early in the summer, but the time has now come for its official release. “I Don’t Mind” serves as a slow-burning, midtempo ballad with a smoky, chilled beat on top of the soft production. The lyrics make the song an ode to a stripper. Usher is really into her and doesn’t care that she’s showing off her body at work, as long as she’s coming back to him at home. There’s even a reference to Beyonce, as the crooner compares his lover with the “Single Ladies” diva!

“I Don’t Mind” is the latest offering from Usher’s upcoming, eighth studio album. There is no word regarding the record’s arrival at this point, but we already know he’s working hard to improve the final result. All we know right now is that the artist will be launching his UR Experience tour in November.
