It seems Zach Roerig is not only a Vampire Diaries fan favourite, but also an expert when it comes to keeping secrets! Unbeknownst to the public, Roerig welcomed a baby girl with a woman named Alanna Turner in January 2011.
Due to his baby mama’s criminal past, however, Roerig is currently battling for full custody of their two-year-old daughter along with child support from Turner, as reported by TMZ.
News of the on-screen heartthrob’s fatherhood became public as he filed legal documents in Georgia this past month requesting a change in current custody arrangements. Roerig claims Turner has previously been arrested three times. She has presently in a federal prison having pleaded guilty to ‘various crimes,’ and so is appealing for sole custody of his child.
A spokesman for Roerig is yet to comment on these reports, but we wish Zach Roerig and his daughter all the best in dealing with this sad situation.
