In new Fifty Shades of Grey casting news, the film has found its José Rodriguez – Anastasia‘s close friend from WSVU. The photography student who crushes on Ms. Steele will be played by Victor Rasuk.
Rasuk is known for his role in the HBO series, How to Make It in America; a show about two men living in the Big Apple trying to make it in the fashion world. The show was cancelled in December of 2011 due to a low audience, but in an interview with GQ Mark Wahlberg – an executive producer for HTMIIA – said that the show might return on a different network.
He was also in the 2005 film based on the Z-Boys, Lords of Dogtown, alongside the late Heath Ledger which was directed by Fifty Shades and Twilight director, Catherine Hardwicke.
More recently, you can see Rasuk in the 2013 movie Jobs – biographical film based on the life of Steve Jobs starring Ashton Kutcher as the lead role – and in 2014 Rasuk will be in the highly anticipate remake of Godzilla featuring Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Bryan Cranston.
As reported earlier today, Fifty Shades of Grey filming has been delayed until December due to the new Christian Grey and possibly because of script rewrites. Whether or not this will effect the August 1 release date is unknown, but nothing has yet to be announced.
