I have been following the Fast And The Furious franchise from the very beginning. I remember the first time I watched it; Brian O’Conner took the screen by storm and Dom flashed his loyalty with ease to his friends and family. I was officially in love. Any chance I got, there were constant reruns of Fast And The Furious in my life and I was literally a fan-girl for them.
The most important thing about the Fast Team, is that they are a family both on and off screen. I have never seen such love like the way they show towards each other. During the Trailer Premiere of Fast & Furious 7, the whole family remembers their late member Paul Walker, who died in a tragic car accident last year in November. As you see Walker in the trailer, there are floods of emotion. During the Premiere, Vin Diesel says, “…When you think of family, you think of Fast & Furious.” He goes on to say how amazing it was that this saga has touched people the way it did.
I completely agree with Diesel, this franchise hit home with me and I was crushed when Paul Walker had passed. He helped create something so beautiful with these people! The whole crew have been having such a hard time with his passing, but they still stand strong with the continuation of Fast 7, which will be released in 2015.
Tyrese Gibson who plays as Roman Pearce has definitely been an advocate of keeping the memory of Paul Walker alive on Instagram and Twitter. Every time I log onto Instagram, Gibson is always reminding of us Walker and the great man he is.
During an interview Vin Diesel spoke to Extra about continuing the movie without his ‘brother’ Paul Walker. Diesel says, “There is no one like Paul Walker, and there was only one Paul Walker… it is a tricky task to be an actor and both mourn and also have to pretend the person is still there.” An extremely powerful statement by Vin Diesel.
The whole cast had to pretend Walker was still on screen with them. I commend these actors and their dedication, I love them for the way they kept Walker alive in all our hearts. I can’t wait for see the new Fast & Furious 7. I highly recommend everyone see it, you won’t find a better family!
