Hugh Jackman isn’t the only celebrity who has discovered he has skin cancer recently. Vinnie Jones does too, as he told The Sun on Sunday. “First I found this little lump under my eye. I didn’t know if it was a blackhead or a little wart,” he said. “When the doctor said I had skin cancer, the first thing I thought was, ‘How long have I got?’”

The ex-soccer player turned actor, who played Sebastian Moren in Sherlock, will probably live on, however his melanoma has resulted in three operations to remove tumors from under his eye and from the back of his head. “I’m constantly worried now about where I could find it next,” he admitted. “It’s weighing very heavily on me all the time. It has really knocked me for six and made me reassess my life and goals.”

The cancer is probably a result of working outside, and he echoed Jackman’s call for people to use sunscreen.  However, Jones’ wife, Tanya Jones, also has skin cancer, and that is believed to be a result of heart medication she takes. Regardless of the cause, Vinnie Jones pledged to fight the cancer with “everything [he’s] got.” Good luck to Vinnie and Tanya, and remember everyone Slip, Slop, Slap!
