I hope you’re all caught up before seeing this because, if you somehow haven’t heard – a major character died – and it’s more than just mentioned here, but we’ll discuss that a bit more after you watch…
This seems to pick up right where the mid-season break left us, mourning a heavy loss. While it’s been months for us, and fans have had time to process this death, in a way, the burial doesn’t feel long enough for them. I feel like a little more time seeing them deal with it would have felt better, this seems a touch rushed. It’s not that I want to see them suffer, it’s just… it was Beth. Y’know?
Noah tells Rick that Beth had planned to head for Virginia. Beth wanted to get Noah there, so they decide to go with that, which is a nice touch.
“If it works out, it’s the last long trip we have to make…” Rick says.
Oh, I seriously doubt that.
The zombie apocalypse returns at 9pm this Sunday on AMC, followed by the series launch of the Breaking Bad prequel/spinoff (a pre-spin?) Better Call Saul at 10pm!
