Westboro Baptist Church’s Robin Williams Protest Derailed By Planning Peace

The Westboro Baptist Church’s attempts to picket the funeral of the beloved Robin Williams were (thankfully) derailed by Planning Peace.

The ignominious jerks down at the Westboro Baptist Church had taken their no-prisoners, no-brains approach to new heights when they decided to label Robin Williams as a “Fag Pimp” and announce that they’re going to try their impish hands at protesting the prolific, deservedly well-loved actor’s funeral.

Thankfully, Planning Peace- who also happens to own the awesome Equality House situated directly across the street from the WBC’s official, well, “church” getup -isn’t having any of it. By means of a fundraiser on CrowdRise directly benefiting St. Jude Children’s Researching Hospital, they’re planning on shooting the organization $30,000 in honor of Robin.

During his life, Robin was a passionate humanitarian staunch on his views for a healthier, happy, more equal tomorrow. For Planning Peace to once again show up the jokes next door at the WBC in tribute to Robin by means of benefiting a cause as wonderful as what St. Jude’s stands for is the absolute best way to celebrate a man who will surely be known as one of the world’s all-time best ’til kingdom come.

And when that kingdom does come? Well, I’m not one to judge, but it’s anyone’s guess as per whether the good folks Westboro will be welcomed into it or not.
