I love Pi Day and the mathematical hilarity that ensues online each year on 3/14. Any kind of pun or joke about pi and/or pie is a joke I welcome into my life. However, today trumps Pi Day by an immeasurable amount for fans of the show Lost.
As a teensy backstory, ‘the numbers’ (cue the ominous music) were a colossal deal in Lost, and showed up practically everywhere. I won’t give away the whole purpose of them (because you should just GO WATCH THE SHOW) but 99.8% of the time, those damn numbers meant bad things were about to happen. Just ask Hurley.
That stupid blinking cursor… just tempting you… push the button!
So today, we mark 4/8/15. Want to get in more depth and celebrate the numbers properly? Well I’d say you need to be chased by a polar bear on a random-ass island in the middle of nowhere past some plane wreckage before bumping into Jacob at exactly 4:23:42 (which is 16:23:42 military time) this afternoon.

The Hatch. You know, that one thing that went boom and sucked us in like a moth to the flame? That friggin’ hatch…

The ominous cave – because there were nice caves on the island, right?
Happy #LostDay, Popwrappers! You can find me at home on the couch, rocking back and forth as I get my island fix.
