The wait is paying off, as the Weinstein Company has plans for a Sin City TV show, which should “quickly” be released after the sequel film Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, as Bob Weinstein told The New York Times.

The last time this TV show project was mentioned was back in 2005.

Weinstein also mentioned that Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller would work on the show.

The follow-up to the 2005 neo-noir crime action film has a multi-star cast (deep breath, it’s a long list): Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jamie King, Powers Boothe, Mickey Rourke, Clive Owen, Bruce Willis, Eva Green, Josh Brolin, Jamie Chung, Dennis Haysbert, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Juno Temple, Ray Liotta, Stacy Keach, Christopher Meloni and Lady Gaga.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, based Frank Miller’s second Sin City book, and directed by Robert Rodriguez, will be released in August 22nd, 2014 in the US, and August 29th in the UK.
