After eight wonderful days of hilarity and brilliant music, Weird Al Week is over. Today, “Weird Al” Yankovic released the final music video from his 8Videos8Days campaign, where each day he released a new music video from his latest album, Mandatory Fun. The final one, released today, is perhaps Weird Al’s most divisive but also most edgy. The song is a pastiche of the legendary Crosby, Stills and Nash, and is entitled “Mission Statement.”

The song is entirely made up of nonsensical business jargon, including buzzwords such as “synergy” and “globalization”. It is very similar to some of Weird Al’s other songs, where he simply lists things with a common theme. “Mission Statement” points out how in the business world, some really ridiculous words are thrown into the conversation just to make things more formal.

The video was animated by brilliant whiteboard artist, TruScribe. It took around 10 months for the video to be completed, and it is completely worth it.
