I’m going to start this off by assuming that everyone has heard of Ylvis and their song “What Does the Fox Say?” I’m also going to assume that if you haven’t heard of it, then you live in a cave.
The viral phenomenon, by Norwegian comedy duo/brothers Bard and Vegard Ylvisaker, is about to become a children’s book.
Jon Anderson, president of Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing, said “I cannot tell you how many times I’ve watched Ylvis’ hilarious, mesmerizing, unforgettable ‘The Fox.’ The lyrics and playfulness of the song lend themselves perfectly to the picture book format, and I’m ecstatic that Simon & Schuster is publishing Bard and Vegard’s first book.”
“What Does the Fox Say,” the book, will be released December 10, just in time for Christmas.
And in case you do live in that cave and have no idea what the fox actually does say, check out the video below.
