If you thought the “I woke up like this” selfie trend was over, fear not because the Queen has revitalized the empowerment banger “Flawless” with a banging remix featuring Miss Minaj herself! Nicki’s first single off the forthcoming “Pink Print” wasn’t a hit with the masses, but I must say, my girl knows how to use a collaboration to boost her game!
Queen Bey in all her regal glory throws down a few rhymes, keeping with relevant phrases (“thot”) and even makes light of the infamous elevator brawl between her husband, Jay-Z, and her sister, Solange: “Of course sometimes some shit goes down when there’s a billion dollars on the elevator! *insert cocky giggle*” Cute try girl, but let’s get to the professional. *anticipates backlash*
Minaj, or Onika as Bey refers to her, undoubtedly slays the end of the track: “like MJ doctor, they killin’ me/ Propofol I know they hope I fall”. Typical Nicki references like “Sri Lanka” and “Trump” give us just that classic flow we love from the schizophrenic lyricist herself.
