Don’t know what School of Thrones is? Do not worry; we at PopWrapped are here to help you get acclimated with the ambitious webseries. School of Thrones is new webseries that has taken the characters from Game Of Thrones and made them over into modern-day high school students that are battling for the title of prom king and queen at Westeros Valley High. Think Prom is Coming versus Winter is Coming. I think that any Game of Thrones fanatic might want to check this webseries as it pays homage to the HBO mega hit and the highly successful novels by George R.R. Martin.

As for its cast, the talented cast includes Lizzie Bennet Diaries stars Mary Kate Wiles as Sansa and Maxwell Glick as Stannis, along with Starkid Joey Richter as Theon. Anyone who is familiar with the cast’s previous work will definitely want to check this series out as those names alone will be drawing in the viewers.

Not familiar with the Game of Thrones universe? That’s okay as this series takes a unique approach with the theme of that show and offers some new insight into the characters from the books and seeing how they would react in this modern age high school setting (probably not that differently seeing as backstabbing, and scheming does tend to happen in high school. At least, it did at mine…*shudders*).

Some things that you will appreciate/love about School of Thrones:

Hipster Starks: all vintage, all the time here with Sansa and her looks as well as the looks of her clique.

“I am not adorable, I am Stannis”: Maxwell Glick nails his part as Stannis. Just watch to see what we mean and we are sure you will agree.

Joey Richter in a speedo as the Greyjoys are waterpolo players! No explanation needed here. Just enjoy the view. You’re welcome.

Jon/Dany becoming canon! For fans of the books, this is a win! In the first episode, the series makes this happen as Dany sees Jon on the first day and is instantly smitten! We are in with ship and cannot wait to see where the series takes it!

The intro credits! HBO’s Game of Thrones is known for their amazing credits and the series pays homage to HBO’s version with theirs.

Each episode is only five minutes long so there is not any excuse for not watching it, which if you like Game of Thrones, make School of Thrones a must watch for you! The second episode will be released on this Sunday at 12pm PST.
