Which Artist Is The Glee Cast Taking On For The Third Time?

Several weeks ago, we were alerted by a source close to the show that Glee was once again covering Katy Perry. We had a great time teasing the artist to you via our trivia game.  Many of you guessed the artist correctly, so scroll down so that we can share the confirmation of this previous PopWrapped exclusive:

There? Safe? OK. PopWrapped can confirm to you today that the song is 

“T.G.I.F. (Last Friday Night),”

 which is no surprise, since Darren Criss and Kevin McHale were both heavily featured in the music video for Perry’s single.

Our source tells us that, “…(the song) was done really well and the (person) singing it may surprise you. …(the number) has been shot for a November episode and is featured heavily in the script.”

“T.G.I.F.” is the 5th Number One single from Perry’s smash “Teenage Dream,” making her only the second artist to ever chart five Number One’s from a record.  Michael Jackson was the only other artist ever to do so with 1987′s “Bad.”
