This week the cast of Glee has been filming the most difficult episode in the show’s history: the tribute to Cory Monteith.
It has turned into something of a family reunion for the Glee cast as original cast members who have either left the show or opted to become guest stars are returning.
So who, from the original cast, is coming back for this episode?
If you don’t want any spoilers regarding this episode then stop reading here!
The cast members returning are Amber Riley (Mercedes Jones), Harry Shum Jr. (Mike Chang), Mark Salling (Noah Puckerman), Jayma Mays (Emma Pillsbury).
Also slated to the appear in the episode are Mike O’Malley (Burt Hummel), Romy Rosemont (Carole Hudson-Hummel), and Dot Marie-Jones (Coach Shannon Bieste).
You will notice missing from the list is Dianna Agron (Quinn Fabray) and Heather Morris (Brittany S. Pierce).
E! reports that sources told them they were not in the script or expected to appear in the episode.
Heather Morris is not much of a surprise as the actress is heavily pregnant.
Dianna Agron not being there, however, is quite a shock. Quinn Fabray and Finn Hudson had an on-and-off again relationship. Hopefully Quinn’s absence will be explained in some capacity.
So far the episode, “The Quarterback” has been called “so good”, “deeply moving.” People promise that “you will cry from beginning to end”.
“The Quarterback” will air on October 10th. Glee‘s fifth season will begin on September 26th.
