At the start of this month, Twitterverse users were once again “graced” with the presence of Donald Trump and, again, the self-proclaimed future presidential candidate had some ridiculous things to say along with him. In a tweet that’s recently gone viral, Trump congratulated Americans who are sacrificing their time (and potentially their lives) in West Africa to stop the spread of Ebola for their selflessness…and then told them they should never come back.

This tweet is particularly offensive since taking them back is exactly what the U.S., in hopes of better treating their selfless doctors who so voraciously follow their doctoral oath, recently did. Instead of bringing our doctors back home for what’s probably better healthcare than what they could get anywhere else, after all that they’d done, Trump would rather have them stay behind and potentially die as a HUGE pat on the back for their hard efforts!
After, naturally, receiving a tremendous lambasting for the comments on Twitter, Whoopi Goldberg also dug into Trump on Monday (August 4), calling his comments “dopey,” “idiotic,” and–indeed–“stupid”. She noted what thousands before her did on Twitter, saying that there’s hardly a chance of an at-home Ebola outbreak, as the virus can only be transferred via bodily fluids and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) is paying great attentive care to these doctors as they recover.
“Do your homework, Donald,” Goldberg remarked on The View of her friend. “Just do your homework…Before you say something that dumb — you know better than that. Come on.”
