Having met in college where they both studied music, Mike Neglia and Andrew Milea formed Wild Americans back in 2015 and have since established themselves as a talented duo who are extremely hands-on when it comes to all aspects of their music and careers – they self-produce all of their own material, which is quite the rarity. Inspired by the likes of The Beatles and Cage the Elephant among others, their songs, including latest single “Friends”, taken from new album ‘One Dimensional Man’, which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere, blend nostalgic rock with honest, insightful and thought- provoking lyrics, delivered over impressively constructed instrumentation.

Asked about the creative process to and behind the album, the pair share: “We were fortunate enough to be able to work through the pandemic at our in-home studio. We got some of our songs in order, old and new, and came up with a batch that we’re proud of. This record kept us going when the world was a dark place, and we hope it gives our listeners the same meditative sense. You can sing along and shake your ass a little, but this record is for listening above all else.” As for what the album is about, they go onto add that it’s “…about falling in love, growing old, and finding yourself. These universal themes follow the trend of our general song writing style; music for everyone. It’s not exactly pop, rock, or indie. It’s something a little more personalized and we hope that it is transparently authentic. We made the record to share, but we also made it for ourselves.
