American Idol is in the process of overhauling their competition, starting fresh with a panel of judges for their upcoming season. With Randy Jackson officially exiting the show, rumors and speculation are beginning to swirl around as to who will take his place. Could it be… Alicia Keys?
When the singer was posed this question in an interview recently, she admitted that she “didn’t know if [she] wanted to be a judge.” The reasoning that she cited, however, was her hectic touring and performing schedule. (Keys will be traveling through Europe, Brazil, Asia, and Australia until the end of January.)
She did, however, express sadness over Randy Jackson’s departure.
