Much to the fanfare of his thousands of #Champs, Will Champlin has released his debut post-Voice album entitled Borrowing Trouble!
In it, the 31 year-old Californian singer-songwriter takes leaps and bounds in terms of artist development since his run on The Voice. There’s a fully-realized vision here and it’s as well-constructed as it is intuitive, artful, and passionate!
Borrowing Trouble features 12 tracks written, performed, and produced by Will alongside fellow artist Steve Gallagher. Whether it be during the Middle Eastern flair on display during opening track and first single “Eye of the Pyramid”, the spitfire production featured on the arena-filling track “Diamond in the Fire”, or within the simplistic beauty of “Breathe”, Borrowing Trouble exemplifies Will and Steve’s musical prowess from top to bottom. Furthermore, Will couldn’t be more vocally on fire than he is here.
Overall, Borrowing Trouble is an amazing album worthy of any self-respecting music enthusiast’s ear. Head over to iTunes, give it a purchase, and listen on. You won’t be disappointed!
