This year’s induction at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will be one to be remembered with some serious rock stars joining up to perform.
Thanks to the Foo Fighters, we may have a few ideas of who will be performing at the Rock Hall induction.
An Instagram by the band posted a photo that shows Dave Grohl’s drums, Krist Novoselic’s bass, Pat Smears’ guitar, and what Stereogum identified as Joan Jett’s recognizably-stickered Gibson Melody Maker axe.
Grohl and Jett do have a history presenting awards together and co-writing songs .Jett also performed alongside the Foo Fighters at New York’s Madison Square Garden in November 2011.
Jett is a great front to team up with Nirvana; her famous raspy voice will match the rock band perfectly. The night will be spent celebrating Kurt Cobain’s former band, with R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe inducting the band that supported one of history’s greatest performers.
Joan Jett is not the only musician said to be pairing up with Nirvana. There are rumors of other artists, but nothing has been confirmed.
The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame induction will take place at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center is on the 10th of April and will be aired on HBO on May 31.
