You seriously can’t make these stories up.
Reality star June Shannon, AKA Mama June, from Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, is reportedly dating a registered sex offender, according to TMZ.
Her new boyfriend, Mark McDaniel, was convicted back in 2004 for aggravated child molestation which included forcing oral sex on a then 8-year-old child. The child is said to be a relative of June.
He went on to serve 10 years in prison for the charge and is currently a registered offender in Georgia. The biggest twist to come out of this reveal is that June and Mark were dating at the time. They rekindled their relationship over the past few months after June and husband Mike separated. Mike is “Sugar Bear” on the TLC program. It’s rumored that the relationship is what caused the split.
Speaking of TLC, the program released a statement saying:
TLC is not currently in production on ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.’ We are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series.
