Tomorrow, January 23, at 10:30 a.m. EST, Universal Orlando is hosting a live webcast event about the Diagon Alley expansion at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park. They’ll be unveiling all new details about this new addition to the parks, which is set to open this summer.
The new Diagon Alley addition will feature new shops, a restaurant, and an innovative attraction based on Gringotts bank.
Members of the Universal Creative team will host the webcast and James Phelps (Fred Weasley) will make an appearance.
The news of the addition to the theme park comes the day before “A Celebration of Harry Potter” begins at Universal Orlando Resorts and runs through the weekend.
During the three day event, appearances are scheduled for Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) and Oliver Phelps (George Weasley) along with his brother James among others associated with the films.
The weekend will include panel discussions about the series, Q&A sessions with cast members, and a behind-the-scenes look at the Pottermore interactive website.
Fans can also view costumes and explore interactive vignettes in an exclusive Harry Potter Exhibition.
