With a slew of reality singing competitions gearing up for the next season of musical mayhem, there has been buzz and speculation about judges, producers and other shake-ups that could prove to be a facelift the genre needs to continue to thrive.
With American Idol announcing a slimmer and fresher judging panel, new producers and studio mentor and X-Factor USA getting two new faces; now X-Factor UK has announced a couple of new twists, as well.
Producers took to twitter to hint at a fifth judge and allude to a new voting system that would definitely prove to elevate the dramatic touch of the series.
The 10th season of the UK version of the show premieres on ITV this Saturday, but fans will find out Friday who (or what) this mysterious fifth judge is. There is also speculation that a new voting system will be introduced, which would give fans a whopping 200 seconds to vote for their favorite artist following each performance, followed be the reveal of the act with the lowest votes who heads into Sunday’s show already in danger.
Returning for the 10th season are Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger, Gary Barlow and former Judge Sharon Osbourne. Who or what will be joining them on the judging panel? Stay tuned, because we all find out Friday!
