X-Men Apocalypse Will Focus On The Mystique/Magneto Relationship

The upcoming X-Men sequel, titled X-Men: Apocalypse, is said to further explore the compelling relationship and origins of the Mystique and Magneto.

If you are a fan of Mystique or Magneto, it’s your lucky day! The upcoming X-Men sequel, titled X-Men: Apocalypse, is said to further explore the relationship between the two characters. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “A source who has seen the script says Fox will take full advantage of Lawrence and Fassbender’s star power, placing Mystique and Magneto’s romance front and center.” Both characters played pivotal roles in X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and clearly will return to explore a new future for the two.

Though both Lawrence and Fassbender have received extreme notoriety in the public eye, it is worth noting that both Mystique and Magneto have always had important ties to the comic book storylines. If both characters head down a dark path, the X-Men will have their hands full with the dangerous pair and the deadly ancient mutant known as Apocalypse. There is definitely much to celebrate with the upcoming film, however I’m still mainly buzzing about the revelation that two of my favorites (Jean Grey & Mystique) will once again be in an X-Men Film together!

X-Men: Apocalypse will begin filming in Montreal April 2015, with a release date slated for May 27th, 2016.
