You Can Play The Star Wars: Battlefront Beta Right Now

The new Star Wars: Battlefront beta version will be going live today to all PS4, XBox One, and PC users who would like to download and play.

If you weren’t chosen for the beta trial of the new Star Wars: Battlefront game, you might have thought that was your chance to play the beta version gone. Not so, it appears!

As of 1pm EST/10am PST today, Star Wars: Battlefront Beta will be playable for everyone on PS4, XBox One, and PC. The news was confirmed on Twitter by Battlefront‘s community manager @Sledgehammer70:

The game is available for download on all three of the named devices, but it will take a huge chunk out of your storage! Console users will need 8GB to run it, while PC users will need a whopping 11GB. PC Users can also pre-load the game to be ready to go when the beta goes live.

The gameplay for the beta sounds really exciting. According to The Verge:

The beta includes three game modes — a small-scale solo survival mission on Luke Skywalker’s adopted home planet Tatooine, a medium-sized skirmish on the volcanic world of Sullust, and a video game version of the climactic showdown between the Empire and the Rebels on the ice planet of Hoth. The latter mode in particular captures the drama and bombast of Star Wars, featuring vast, controllable AT-AT walkers, iconic snowspeeders, and power-ups that enable movie-esque explosions.

Check out the reveal trailer below and let me know if you will be downloading this new beta version!
