Zac Efron won’t be showing off his trademark smile for a while. The former High School Musical and 17 Again star has had his jaw wired shut after he broke it in a fall in his home on Nov 10. According to E! News, Efron reportedly slipped in a puddle of water he didn’t see at the entrance of his home. Not only did he break his jaw, but he also suffered a gash that required stitches.
Efron has made headlines for twice attending rehab while struggling with a cocaine addiction earlier this year, and is now in recovery.
He is starring in the upcoming comedy The Awkward Moment, set to release in January, alongside Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller. Due to Efron’s accident, plans to promote the film have been postponed.
