Zach Hood Drops His Sixth Single Of The Year “Just Kids”

“…its message is that you don’t have to choose between being mature or being someone who wants to let loose…”

Like many people, Zach Hood has found and continues to find solace, comfort and strength in and through music. Having begged his mom for a piano as a young boy, he taught himself to play it, often losing himself in the tinkling of the keys amidst his parents’ divorce. He refers to himself as “…just a kid from Alabama who stayed true to himself; never let anyone get in his way, persevered and stayed on the path I was set for.”

That path saw him post acapella covers on Instagram while in middle school, before becoming a regular user of TikTok, gradually developing a sound and a style inspired by acts such as James Arthur, Drake and Machine Gun Kelly. He released his debut single “Flashbacks” earlier this year, quickly following it up with several more releases including “Isabelle” and “13 Missed Calls” and in the past several months, he’s racked up more than 16 million streams on Spotify alone as well as landed a deal with Arista Records.

Having had an incredible year already, he’s not resting on his laurels and has now released his latest single “Just Kids”, a song Zach says:“…is super important to me because its message is that you don’t have to choose between being mature or being someone who wants to let loose. I see a lot of artists pick a so-called lane and continue to write about mostly the same topics. Well, I want to be different and I believe this song shows that.”

In a society where we’re often told we should be, dress, live and do things a certain way, “Just Kids” is a brilliant reminder to all those who hear it that they should live life the way THEY want; after all – we all only get one go at it.
