American Horror Story Coven will be starting filming next month on location in New Orleans. Many AHS stalwarts like Francis Conroy, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe being joined by stars such as Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett. However, sadly, it appears our sinister women will not be joined by Zachary Quinto who played the scary killer Bloodyface last season.
Quinto will be taking on The Glass Menagerie on Broadway in the autumn and so far he hasn’t been approached by show creator Ryan Murphy to join this season’s cast. However, talking to E!, Quinto – who has most recently played Spock in the latest Star Trek movie – said, “The nature of [American Horror Story] is such that I’m sure [executive producer] Ryan [Murphy] could call and say, ‘Could you fly down on your day off and do one episode?’ And if he does, I would always be open to that. But we haven’t had any conversations. So as of now I’m not planning to be a part of it.”
As a fan of the franchise, this makes me feel rather sad however cannot wait to see what horrors Mr Murphy has in store for us however with such a strong female cast, I can’t wait to watch the newest horror unfold week on week.
