Creating a score for a movie is a long, not to mention drawn out process at best, and Hans Zimmer has his work cut out for him. It seems that Hans Zimmer has run into a bit of a problem returning to write the score for Superman vs. Batman. Zimmer has done the composing music for Man Of Steel and The Dark Night, has stated that he needs to talk to director Zach Synder about what his role may be in regards to the new film.
Zimmer said: “It’s creating a bit of a problem in my head right now, Quite honestly, I’ve gotta sit down with Zack and have a chat with him about what he’s trying to do because what I don’t want to do is go back to that well. It’s a different Batman; Christian Bale and what I did with Chris Nolan, that needs to have its autonomous life. I don’t want to go and now appropriate that and put that into the other Batman.”
Zimmer also didn’t hesitate in mentioning that he supports Ben Affleck as the new Batman, saying that he thinks Affleck will make a great Batman, despite fans very strong opinions.
Zimmer added: “It’s really quite simple, the man isn’t a fool and he’s not gonna set himself up for a fall,” he said. “He’s a great filmmaker in his own right, he really is… I think he’s become a much more astute actor and I think he’ll make a great Batman, I think he knows exactly what he’s doing. So, do I think it’s a good idea? Yes, I think it’s a good idea. I think he’s a great casting.”
Superman Vs. Batman plans to be bring most of the A list cast from Man Of Steel like Amy Adams, Henry Cavill, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane. The film is set to be released on July 17th, 2015.
