It’s no surprise that the return of Ganondorf stole most of Zant’s thunder during his initial reveal during last week’s Hyrule Warriors Direct, but now Nintendo has revealed an official trailer for the Usurper King himself, offering him some well-deserved time in the spotlight.
In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Zant was the ruler of the Twilight realm — a “dark” world set in a dimension different from our own — who appeared as one of the game’s main villains, intent on taking over the light realm of Hyrule for his own gain.
In Hyrule Warriors, Zant’s battle moves appear to be incredibly faithful to his Twilight Princess iteration, but with some added gusto! Playing as Zant will offer you the added power of the entire Twilight army, as well as a pair of dual scimitars which he rambunctiously swings about.
