Actress Zoe Saldana officially confirmed her pregnancy on Tuesday, Aug. 19. How did she do it? With an ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video, of course.
Rumors of Saldana’s pregnancy began last month when multiple outlets, including E! News and Us Weekly, began reporting the Guardians of the Galaxy star was expecting her first child with husband Marco Perego. Despite the rumors, Saldana has kept very quiet about her baby news.
“I am accepting James Gunn‘s challenge to take on the ice bucket challenge,” the actress, 36, tells the camera. “Obviously, I can’t do it myself so I nominate my husband to take on the challenge,” she added, while turning to the side to show off her growing baby bump.
Perego, 35, happily accepted the challenge on his wife’s behalf. Saldana has nominated James Cameron, Aileen Getty, Ron Burkle, and Salma Hayek to take on the challenge next.
