Dick Van Dyke narrowly escaped a car fire yesterday afternoon, August 19th.
Dyke was on his way to a dentist appointment, in his “brand new” Jaguar, when he heard a noise coming from his car.
Good Samaritan, Jason Pennington, along with others passing by the scene stopped to help Dyke get safely out of the burning car.
It’s been reported Dick didn’t realize what was going on at the time and was a little disoriented.
He took to twitter and added some humor to the situation. The tweet had the caption “Used Jag for sale…REAL CHEAP” with a photo of the car that was burnt to a crisp.
His wife also tweeted saying “he’s fine, thank God”.
So glad Dick Van Dyke is doing okay and wasn’t hurt considering it could have been a potentially fatal incident.
