It looks like Nathan Sykes, part of the British boyband The Wanted has had a difficult time in the last year. Sykes recently confessed that he had a “complete mental breakdown” earlier in the year. The singer said he found the stress of filming for the E! reality show The Wanted Life so difficult that he hid himself away from the camera crew.

“Let’s put it this way: I locked myself in my room for three days so I wasn’t filmed,” Nathan revealed in a recent appearance on InDemand with Alex James, explains Digital Spy.After Alex teased saying it would be a great explanation for a nervous breakdown, Nathan answered “Oh no, it was completely a mental breakdown. It was completely a full-blown mental breakdown. I blamed it on the voice though, so it’s fine.”

Bandmate Siva Kaneswaran also added in “The voice was sore and there was a lot of emotions going through Nathan at the time- and righty so! But all good now.”

Get excited because The Wanted is getting ready to release their new single “Show Me Love (America)” on October 27th while their third album Word of Mouth is slated to release on November 4th.  The band revealed that the new single is about the difficulties about having a relationship in the entertainment industry.
