It appears that Ed Sheeran was ready to “come and get it.” Sheeran, who is currently touring with Taylor Swift, was allegedly introduced to Selena Gomez by Swift over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Gomez, who had been dating Justin Bieber off and on for years, is happy to be done with that relationship and ready to move on, according to a source for US Weekly.
“She got sick of having to take care of Justin like he was her child. This is a nice escape from the drama.”
Another source stated: “They are friends with an open mind. He’s sensitive and sweet and a lot deeper than Justin.”
Apparently this is a longtime coming. Sheeran was asked a while back how he would feel about being set up with Gomez to which he replied: “I wouldn’t mind.”
