Instagram user nathi_artist has revealed short clips taken from the filming of Avengers: Age of Ultron film set in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In the first clip, we see a crowd of panicked citizens running from an as-of-yet-unseen threat (fan speculation points to the Hulk), just before a truck idling nearby is spun violently around following a loud CRASH. The fans recording the video were able to obtain their footage by spectating from a neighboring rooftop.
The second clip is even more cryptic. Two men are standing in the middle of an intersection, each holding one end of what appears to be a mounted bust of the Hulk’s decapitated head while spinning around in circles. This likely has no bearing on what the film’s plot holds for the not-so-jolly green giant, as it appears as if the crew is using the object in question to gauge lighting or perspective for a scene that has yet to be filmed.
The Instagram user responsible has also released photographs of the carefully constructed destruction seen on the film’s set.
Starring such returning favorites Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson, Avengers: Age of Ultron also promises a bevy of new characters never-before-seen in a Marvel film, such as Aaron Taylor-Johnson as speed demon Quicksilver, and Elizabeth Olsen as his probability-altering sister, Scarlet Witch.
The film is set for release on May 1st, 2015.
