With production set to start in the new year, it will be a while before we get any pictures or clips of Star Wars Episode VII, however, fans of the animated Star Wars series, check out below as a brief teaser for Star Wars: Rebels has been released.
Lucasfilm and Disney released the teaser for the upcoming series, which takes place in the twenty years between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope. The focus will be on the growing rebellion against the Empire and the hunt to exterminate the last remaining Jedis. According to the teaser, “To battle the empire, a rebel alliance will form, the Jedi will rise and you will know the power of … The Force.”
Not much more is currently known about the series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, David Oyelowo, Freddie Prinze, Jr, Vanessa Marshall, Taylor Gray and Steven Jay Blum are in talks for the voice cast.
Star Wars: Rebels is set to premiere on Disney XD in the fall of 2014.
