It looks like there is going to be one less Matthews in the house when Girl Meets World airs next year on the Disney Channel.
Both the Huffington Post and TVLine reported that the House of Mouse has decided to go in another creative direction and decided to drop the role of Cory and Topanga’s teenage son, Elliot (Teo Halm), from the series.
Halm took to Twitter to explain his departure: “So guys, Disney decided that it wouldn’t work to have an older brother on the show; I won’t be on Girl Meets World. Thank you to everyone.”
One cast member in particular sent him best wishes through the popular social media networking site was his on-stage mom, Danielle Fishel.
“Teo, you are an incredible talent and I adore you. You may still call me “mom.” :)” the actress known as Topanga wrote.
This just leaves Cory and Topanga’s tweenage daughter, Riley, with just a younger brother: Louis.
TVLine was able to receive a quote from a Disney Channel rep whom stated: “Various creative changes are often made as a project transitions from pilot to series.”
Are you sad that Riley will not have a relationship like Cory and Eric’s from Boy Meets World?
