Leona Lewis Gets It Right On New Single ‘Fire Under My Feet’

After departing from Syco and signing with Island and Def Jam, Leona Lewis has returned to the scene with her amazing new single, “Fire Under My Feet”.

It’s been quite a while since we last heard of Leona Lewis, hasn’t it? The former X Factor winner hasn’t released a record since 2013′s Christmas, With Love and a proper studio album in stores since 2012′s Glassheart. After leaving Syco and signing with Isnald Records and Def Jam, the songstress has finally made a comeback with her brand-new single, “Fire Under My Feet”.

The track is everything we all thought Leona Lewis should be singing since her sophomore effort. Its superb production is upbeat and super-busy, with a soulful pop approach. Not to mention how these pounding beats and heavy piano keys of “Fire Under My Feet” make it extremely catchy and anthemic. Leona Lewis takes it to the next level with her excellent vocals and her on-point singing style. The song actually sounded like an instant hit from the very first acapella snippet she shared a few months ago and it totally lives up to the expectations. The Declan Whitebloom-directed visuals find the songbird looking stunningly beautiful as a brunette, with various people practicing their hobbies/jobs and bringing the self-empowering meaning of the lyrics to life.

Leona Lewis has picked “Fire Under My Feet” to serve as the lead single from her upcoming, fourth studio album I Am. The record is expected to arrive in stores this coming autumn and her team is planning an international campaign for it, including the United States. Hopefully, the track will get the recognition it deserves and will give her the chance to show the world what she’s truly capable of. Check out the track and its accompanying music video below.
