New Mockingjay Clip Shows Katniss Wandering Through The Ruined District 12

A new clip for Mockingjay Part 1 has been revealed and the snippet is not a happy one. It features Katniss wandering through the ruins of her District 12.

In just over 5 weeks, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 hits theaters. While fans wait to see the film on November 21, the movie studio has released posters and trailers to stir up interest and excitement for this film. Little has been seen – mere snippets. Now, today (October 15, 2014), they have released a clip that reveals a bit more about Katniss and the fate of her District 12.

The minute-long clip features Katniss as she travels to an aircraft and then to her fallen district. Dubbed over the images is a debate over whether or not the Mockingjay (as she’s called) can lead the rebellion or if it damaged her. Chillingly, viewers can hear the manipulative plot they plan to use to get Katniss to fight.

As Jennifer Lawrence’s character wanders through the city, “Yellow Flicker Beat” by Lorde hauntingly filters through the video like the dust settling on District 12. Although she says nothing, it’s clear what she sees affects her. She is ready. Are you?

So what do you think? Love the promo? Excited for the movie? Watch the clip below!
