Another group reunited and it feels so good. The original reality show group O-Town reconnected 4 of its members this summer. Remember these guys? I sure do. They were the stars of the show Making the Band on MTV, which aired during the early 2000’s. It lasted for 3 seasons and followed the boys around from formation, to lawsuits, a number one single and disbandment.
Members Erik-Michael Estrada, Dan Miller, Trevor Penick and Jacob Underwood are back to give it another shot. Missing is heartthrob Ashley Parker Angel, who decided to keep striving in his acting career rather than giving the boys another go. He’s still backing them though, and showing his love in 140 characters or less via Twitter.

Ok, do you remember their first single “Liquid Dreams?” Remember them dancing around in an unknown liquid in the video, making girls giggle from Canada to Germany? You’ll definitely know their biggest hit, “All or Nothing.” It went number one in the USA and Canada, as well as numerous other countries around the world. O-Town was also apart of the several lawsuits against boy band mogul Lou Pearlman. Bad record deals and horrible financial management are what forced the group to disband in late 2003.
What have they been doing in the mean time? Well, after being at the top it must have burned to be a part of regular life again. These guys didn’t end up in rehab though, they made some very smart life choices after the group called it quits and brought what they’ve learned back to the O-Town table. Jacob went to college and earned a business degree, now allowing him to oversee the group’s current finances. Erik joined the army, and Dan and Trevor remained in the music industry learning from some of the best producers and writers out there. Dan also took graphic design and penned the artwork for O-Town’s new album, Lines & Circles.
Yes, you read that correctly. A new album!! What else comes with that? A hit single and brand spanking new music video.
Their new song “SkyDive” just hit the airwaves and is begging for your love. The video just premiered on June 19th and deserves mega hits and likes. It revolves around the boys singing to one lucky blonde all around a desert landscape. All the popular singers do the desert thing, you know. The Backstreet Boys filmed their video for “Incomplete” surrounded by sand. Justin Timberlake and Rihanna filmed “Rehab” with some friendly cacti and Britney Spears has done several videos in the California sands. “Work Bitch” and “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman” to name a couple.
O-Town’s new album will be released on August 3, 2014 with a tour to support it. They’ve already been making appearances in Europe and hopefully will be on this side of the pond very soon.
