Bobbi Kristina Brown’s funeral took place on Saturday, and not without controversy as one of the Brown family members abruptly left the church and spoke out to the media.
Bobbi Kristina Brown, Whitney Huston and Bobby Brown’s only child tragically died six months after being found face down in the bathtub at her townhouse in Atlanta, eerily similar to her mother’s death details.
Brown, who was 22, is to be buried next to her mother in New Jersey, was remembered in a private ceremony in Alpharetta, Georgia. Her father has said “Krissy was, and is an angel” and that he is “numb”. He was pictured crying outside the ceremony.
Bobbi’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, was not allowed to attend the ceremony after being told so by Bobbi’s family.
Relations between Gordon and other relatives have soured over the past few years, especially after Bobbi Kristina was hospitalized. A protective order barred him from being within 200 feet of Pat Houston. And a feud erupted over whether Gordon could visit Bobbi Kristina while she stayed in the hospital.
Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard said he and his office are interested in reviewing the investigative reports to determine whether any charges will be filed.
During the eulogy by Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-law and manager, Bobby’s sister, Leolah Brown abruptly walked out of the funeral to talk to the waiting reporters. She stated that “Whitney is going haunt her [Pat] from the grave”, and the Brown vs. Houston feud was far from over and “just getting started”.
Bobbi Kristina’s autopsy results were inconclusive.
